This course prepares the student to work as an OSHA construction standards (see 29 CFR 1926.32(f))competent person in dealing with scaffolding in their workplace.

Course Content:

• Introduction to Scaffolds
• Scaffold Capacity and Construction
• Scaffold Use and Fall Protection
• Practical Build Exercise (system and buck scaffold- 2 bays wide, 2 bucks high)
• Scaffold Competent Person/Erector Test

Class configurations: Max student to Instructor ratio: 15 to 1
Successful completion: Competent Person/Erector Card
Written evaluation: 25 question written exam
Performance evaluation: Successful erection of system and buck scaffolding
